Hi Reader, I strongly believe that people who have something useful and important to share shouldn't hide. It's their role and responsibility to help others who might not know those things yet. This is how we help humanity at large; otherwise, the wrong ideas spread further and become the norm. Recently, I shared my insights on how using AI affects job applications and the hiring process. As an introvert who has worked with many job seekers, I know that many introverts have a lot to share and want to help — but they do not always have the courage to speak up or talk about themselves (for various reasons). And the world is missing out! So, I decided to create The Introvert's Resume Guide to Stand Out Authentically: A Strategic Blueprint for Career Changers & Job Seekers. I published it because: • There are ways to present yourself as an introvert to increase your chances of landing your desired job ... without using those "flashy" words people often suggest (which make us cringe). • And I realized that not everyone wants to read my 400-page award-winning book, Introverts: Leverage Your Strengths for an Effective Job Search. :-) While this short book is based on the resume section of that comprehensive guide (which considers personality traits and the psychology of hiring, both still relevant today), in this book about resumes I have also: • Explained why using AI to improve a resume isn't helpful if you don't feed it the right information. And how to gather that information so your job application stands out authentically and builds employers' trust faster. • Added a bonus: four resume cheat sheets to keep handy whenever you need to craft a targeted resume that increases your chances of getting an interview. Not looking for a job right now, but know someone who is? "The Introvert's Resume Guide to Stand Out Authentically" is now available on: • Amazon websites at a promotional price (Kindle, paperback) • My books website (with more details and images): gabrielaexpressions.com • Other booksellers (including Apple Books and Kobo) Do you hold back or prefer to hide, even when you have something important to say? Hi Reader, I hope you’re enjoying the summer as much as I am! Since Toronto is one of the FIFA World Cup 2026 host cities, the buzzing atmosphere and celebrations have captured me as well—even though I wasn't a football fan before. (Not even when the national teams and players of Romania, my home country, were part of global FIFA tournaments.) Ever since I shifted my career from engineering to coaching in 2006, I have seen the world as a web of interconnected systems and subsystems. It’s this...
Hi Reader, In the first few months after coming to Canada 23 years ago, I realized something: the more you help yourself, the more others are willing to help you. This thought came back to me this morning when I noticed how things have picked up since I became better at setting boundaries, and more assertive in my business outreach. Waiting for something to happen, or for others to help us, keeps us in a state that drains our energy. It is difficult to function and achieve good results in...
